Diablo 4 Turns Season of Blood into Doing Good, With Free Cosmetics For Community Blood Donation

It’s the Season of Blood in Diablo 4, and Blizzard is using the vampiric themed season to do some good. They’re running a monthlong campaign to encourage real-life blood donation. If the community hits certain donation goals, Blizzard will give out a number of in-game rewards and launch a sweepstakes for a brand new PC.

This campaign is US-based, and comes at a time when there are blood shortages across donation systems and hospitals across the country. Starting today, October 20th, through November 20th, the team has set a few milestones, with the ultimate goal of 666 quarts of blood as their grand total goal. So if you’re over 18 and qualified, you can contribute to a Blood Harvest that will help others in the process when you’re away from the vampire hunting.

There are a few thresholds that will unlock new rewards when met. At 33% of the goal, there will be new weapon cosmetics for all classes:

  •    Dagger: Bloodpetal Anlace
  •     Axe: Bloodpetal Sever
  •     Necromancer Focus: Bloodpetal Heart
  •     Sword: Bloodpetal Blade
  •     Druid Staff: Bloodpetal Bludgeon

At 66% of the goal, the Loch Raeth Maor Barbarian armor cosmetic unlocks, in addition to all above weapon cosmetics. Finally, if the community hits 100% of the goal, everyone will get all of the previous rewards and a Vermilion Eye Piebald Mount. If a new horse wasn't appealing enough, this will also unlock a new sweepstakes where you can win a new, liquid cooled PC that actually has a little bit of real human blood in it.

You do not have to actually have donated blood to enter the sweepstakes or receive the rewards, but doing so could help save lives. In-game goodies will be delivered starting November 22nd.

See more details over at Diablo 4.
