Blizzard has announced that the mid-season patch for Diablo 4 Season 4: Loot Reborn will drop sometime next week, with patch notes set to arrive later on today.
In addition, Blizzard will hold a Campfire Chat next week on July 21 to discuss Season 5 and the team’s PTR plans for the update.
This approach marks a change from how the team usually does things. Usually, Blizzard wild hold a Campfire Chat to discuss the mid-season update, but plans shifted after Blizzard decided to release the mid-season update prior to Season 5 PTR. Since Season 5 will carry forward the balance updates and other changes of the mid-season update the team wanted to avoid creating a sense of “whiplash” with people going back from Season 5’s PTR to Season 4.
Between the mid-season update, anniversary celebration, and Season 5 PTR on the way, there’s been a lot going on in the world of Diablo lately.
At Microsoft’s 2024 Xbox Games Showcase, Blizzard dropped a cinematic trailer for the game’s upcoming Vessel of Hatred expansion, kicked off pre orders, and announced the expansion’s October 8 release date. Blizzard plans to dive deep into the expansion’s new Spiritborn class on July 18.
