While Diablo 4 is still in the throes of its first season, Season of the Malignant, Season 2 is already close at hand. Coming October 17th, Season of Blood brings a new companion, the Vampire Hunter Erys.

Gemma Chan voices Erys, the new Vampire Hunter companion players will meet on their journey in the Season of Blood.  Alongside the Vampire Hunter, Diablo's Rod Fergusson stated during Opening Night Live that a new vampire skill line will be coming to the ARPG with season 2, as well as a new vampire-fueled questline.

Season 2 will also add five bosses to the endgame, both new and returning, for players to tackle. Updates also include gems no longer taking inventory space, updates to status effects and resistance, as well as capacity upgrades for those ever important Potion Charges.

Also, thankfully, renown will now carry over to future seasonal characters. Fergusson also revealed on stage that Diablo 4 counts 12 million players with 1.3 billion hours played since launch.
