The Diablo 4 team held its latest Campfire Chat stream yesterday, detailing the Season of the Construct’s midseason update. Vampiric powers have been improved and make a return, and we get more on the new Gauntlet, and Leaderboards coming next week.

The update hits on March 5th and leaderboards are finally  almost here.  The update seems to have something for everyone. Vampiric Powers return in a new way. Not only has the team improved some of the powers and updated them, these powers return as new Legendary Aspects.  those will have a chance to drop from all enemies in Sanctuary, so you have a chance to get some of those blood-fueled abilities down if you missed the Season of Blood.

The Gauntlet is a centerpiece of the latest dev update. Open to those that have reached World Tier IV, head over to find the Horn of Trials and access the new challenge. Be warned, however, that enemies within will be over level 100, so even though you might want to venture over after gaining access to a new tier, preparing and reaching level 100 yourself is a smart move.

Designed as a non-linear endgame dungeon, the Gauntlet challenge will change every week, but the layout will be identical throughout that week, so you can try multiple times to beat your own achievements. Challenge yourself to get your highest score possible and earn Proofs of Might within the 8-minute time limit by slaying monsters you find inside, opening chests, and working out the best way to increase your haul through multipliers and Pillars. Pillars will increase the amount of Proofs you earn.

After killing a boss, a shrine will spawn, offering a special Shrine effect. Every time you kill that same boss inside that week, this effect will be identical, so once again you can learn the layout, the challenges, and the bonuses to keep improving your strategies before the next refresh.

Increase your score and also gain rank within Trials and earn yourself rewards. you'll also have to consider the new leaderboards, which are separated by ladders for class, party size, and difficulty. You’ll be able to  compare scores with friends and your clan too. The Gauntlet will have a first contest to come, but that will come after the team can see how balanced the new dungeon feature is.

See more over at Diablo 4.
