Diablo 4 has been out for two months, but Diablo 3 is still going, with Season 29 the last new one planned--and it's a big one. The PTR for upcoming patch 2.7.6 is opening up tomorrow for two weeks, and the team details some of what to expect, including a new single player mode.
The patch will be available from tomorrow through August 29th, and there are several features that the team is hoping to get feedback on. The most notable are the new single player mode, Solo Self Found, and the upcoming Season 29 theme, Visions of Enmity. In addition, There are some class balance changes on the way to the Crusader Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor.
Solo Self Found puts you against the demonic hordes. Just you, as the name implies. the community has requested an official single player mode for some time, and now in the later part of the game's development, it is coming. In character creation, pick Solo Hero. Then, get ready to face the hordes yourself, with no party assist, bonuses, or strategies to pull off. If you do create a character to play this way, you'll only have the Private game option. You will still be able to play the Campaign and Adventure modes as in other modes. If you roll a character in this mode and succeed, you might even grab a spot on the special leaderboards for the new mode.
The theme for Season 29, Visions of Enmity, and other parts of the update “were designed with Solo Self Found in mind”. When the new season begins, you’ll be able to trigger the appearance of Diabolical Fissures throughout Sanctuary. When you slay a demon there's a chance that one will appear. Stepping through them lets you into Visions of Enmity. It’s all the reality-warping work of the Burning Hells. so enter these pocket Dimensions at your own risk, but there are lots of rewards to be earned.
Also in the update will be new monster Affixes, balance changes, and a major change to Paragon Points. This involves a new cap that will let you only assign 800 Paragon Points max to your character, with each category only allowed 200 each.
