Diablo III’s Season 29, Visions of Enmity, arrives this week. While the 29th season is the final all-new themed season, the team has a message about the future, and how this season lays the foundation for what’s to come.

Season 29 begins on September 15th at 5 PM PDT/CET/KST, and adds the new Solo Self Found mode, and a number of major changes. Many of the Diablo franchise devs are now focused on Diablo 4, and understandably so. Season 29 is the final one with a brand new theme. Season 30 will feature more balance changes and bug fixes, but there won't be a new theme, instead, this will begin what the future of Diablo 3 will look like.

Season 30 will feature a returning theme, Rites of Sanctuary, And this is the beginning of rotating repeated content that will follow. The team is working with 29 seasonal themes, rewards, modes, and other additions and obstacles that they will begin repeating and bringing back content to make sure that the Diablo 3 community is not left without seasonal activities and options. About every 3 months, a theme from the past, including features, will come back.

As for Season 29, the final all-new theme is leaving Diablo 3 off with a bang, since there are major new additions. Visions of Enmity features Diabolical Fissures springing up all over Sanctuary, and these portals are gateways to revisit dangerous past memories and to some hellish emissaries to slay.

The update also introduces Solo Self Found,  which is a single player experience in normal difficulty or hardcore. this officially brings supported single player play to Diablo 3. so you're not in a party and no one is protecting you, so it's a test that also comes with rewards that match the difficulty.

Season 29 brings back the Old Growth pet, Galactic Wings, and Greyhollow Portrait. The new cosmetic rewards for the season include the Mad King’s Favor Portrait and the Quoth pet. There are a number of community inspired changes, balance changes, and a change to Paragon Points in all modes.
