Can’t wait till Diablo IV? Well, there’s a mod called Project Diablo 2 which is set to feature seasonal update. Oh and it’s launching this week.
The mod launches on November 6 alongside its first season called Awakening. However, there’s an open beta going on right now if you’re interested. Head over to the website to sign up. If you’re unfamiliar with the mod, it’s described as,
“A mod for and by passionate Diablo 2 fans. We aim to maintain the Lord of Destruction experience and provide consistent ladder resets while improving on the game as if development never ceased”
The mod boasts updates every ladder, greater build diversity, huge item rebalances, new end game content, a worldwide community, quality of life changes, and more. Project Lead SenpaiSomething spoke with PCGamesN earlier this year saying,
“It’s essentially about applying 20 years of RPG knowledge and backdating it to Diablo 2 so that we can pretend the game has been patched that long,”
