The official Alganon dev blog has debuted with the first post by Quest Online's Derek Smart. The post goes over the details of Smart's first year with the company and the changes to Alganon since then. The blog dovetails with the recently announced media blitz that devs are hoping bring more players to a revitalized Alganon.

A lot of hard working people who believed in this game – and indeed the company – are still here at QOL. Even when things were dire and the future uncertain, they never left. Instead, we all remained focused on “The Plan” that I had constructed. These are people who I gave the voice, ability and authority to shape their game and vision for it. I did that because Alganon was their game. It never was, isn’t and never will be a game whose success or failure can be attributed to any one person. At this point in time, Alganon for all intent and purposes is still in recovery mode because we have a lot of work to do as we race QOL toward profitability. With the unpleasantess and drama of the past few months behind us, there are quite a few things in the works and which I simply cannot talk about at this point. If all goes as planned and barring any unforeseen circumstances, I expect that 2011 will bring quite a few surprises.
