Destiny: Rising Android Beta Playtest Coming Late May, Pre-Registrations Open For iOS

Destiny: Rising, NetEase and Bungie's new mobile-first third-person action game set in the Destiny universe, has announced one more beta test before its August release for Android players, while the game is available for pre-registration for iOS players. 

The new Closed Beta Test features a ton of new stuff since the prior alpha test. There’s a new “destination” called Red Sea Rift, a new campaign in this new area, and new “Lightbearer” NPCs to join the player. Plus, there are new activities, including a Master difficulty for certain activities and a social area, as well as nifty new weapons to try, according to a fuller official news post. 

During this specific beta, while it’s “closed” and limited, players will be allowed to stream it and share content regarding it. 

Android players can sign up for possible access to the Destiny: Rising beta via the official website, assuming they have a compatible phone as listed in a drop-down, which will grant Google Play Store access. 

For iOS, there’s an App Store page up that lists Destiny: Rising as coming out August 25. It seems they won’t be getting this particular beta test, but the official site does list a pre-registration campaign granting goodies for reaching pre-reg sign-up counts.
