Destiny 2’s Revenant Act III is out today, and Bungie is teasing with new details and a trailer to tempt players to jump back in.
The new update includes an Exotic Mission, Kell’s Fall and a descent into Fikrul, the Fanatic’s hideout to face the undead Scorn. Your efforts will also include playing some “haunting melodies” as the official description teases.
One thing that could be yours is a new vampiric-themed reward, Slayer’s Fang, the Exotic Void slug shotgun. The update also introduces two legendary weapons that you can see in the trailer. Red Tape is a Stasis Scout rifle and Heretic's Fervor is a new Stasis rocket launcher. There are five new artifact mods added to the pool for additional bonuses, including several enhancements to Void builds and boosts to grenade efficiency.
The Exotic Armory Collection: Slayer’s Fang display is a new physical collectible based on the new content. If you want the opportunity to bring the display to life in your real environment, you'll have to complete Kell’s Fall and get the Slayer's Fang in game before May 5th. If you do that, you'll get a Bungie Rewards offer to purchase the display collector’s item from the store.
The Revenant episode opened up with Act 1 back in October, and Act II followed in late November. The Final Shape’s ongoing stories continue today with the release of Act III. You have a little time to jump in and take down Fikrul, and wrap this part of the story before the next all-new episode, Heresy, begins on February 4th.
