In the latest “This Week In Destiny” blog, the Destiny 2 devs have more fully unveiled the rewards for the Festival of the Lost event this Halloween.

Festival of the Lost looks similar to other years in terms of execution, but it looks like they’ve sweetened the pot a bit. Players can complete Haunted Sectors, which now have a chance of dropping an extra Eerie Engram, and Manifested Pages from the Book of the Forgotten will drop from more than just chests so long as you’re wearing the corresponding masks.

There’ll be new masks this year too, which have both varying looks and perks, and who run the Expert Haunted Sector will, of course, get better stats and rolls. Plus, players can also buy Exotic Class items directly from Eva without having to do prerequisite quests, though The Final Shape will be necessary in order to actually have access to such items.

The new weapon to earn this event, Arcane Embrace, is fittingly a new Arc weapon with a fresh new subtype: the Heavy Burst, which “fires a hard-hitting, two-round burst,” while also reducing flinching from incoming fire. They haven’t shared the perks, but its Origin Trait is called “Search Party,” so that should be interesting. They also bring back weapons from prior iterations of the event with new perks.

There’ll also be plenty of cosmetics to pick up, including the Wizard Armor Ornaments, Spectral Carapace Emblem, and the return of the Superblack Shader, the latter of which will be earnable by playing 15 Event Challenges.

It’ll probably be one of the later Halloween treats this spooky gamer season; there’s no official start date, but it’s most likely going to arrive with the next reset cycle on October 29th, as that’s when the Grandmaster Nightfalls also begins.

In sunnier news, the team announced a hurricane relief campaign in the last update. This week's blog shares that it's already earned $300,000 for Team Rubicon and Direct Relief, and it'll be adding a nifty new tee to the initiative.
