With The Final Shape now out, the next step in Destiny 2 is here, with the opening of the new Salvation’s Edge raid and the bragging rights of World First.

The raid is open now, live as of 10am PT, and Bungie is showcasing the race to World First via Twitch Rivals. Now that Salvation's Edge has launched, even if you’re not World First tier, your team can always take advantage of Contest Mode. This will be open for 48 hours, and if your team qualifies for the challenge, and completes Salvation’s Edge within that time, there are some goodies to be had. Your team leader must have finished The Final Shape’s campaign and the Wild Card Exotic quest to launch the raid but those prerequisites are only applicable to the leader. To participate, everyone has to be at least 1965 power level.

For those collectors who like getting the new merch for each new major raid launch, there’s even a Salvation’s Edge jacket and a bag for those who complete the raid by June 25th and want to buy the pieces.

With the Twitch Rivals World First race and raid debut overall, there are some Twitch Drops to be earned too. If you participate in the event and watch at least 2 hours of any Destiny 2 streamer until June 9th at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time, you can earn yourself a brand new emblem: Stand in Salvation. Watch the Twitch Rivals stream or any participating Twitch Rivals creator and get another new emblem: Roots Remain. Want a third emblem? Wrest the Heart is available when you subscribe to a Destiny 2 streamer or if you’re already subscribed, when you gift a sub to a friend.
