Destiny 2  has been all abuzz lately. From the release of the Season of The Deep to making a splash of a different kind with a PlayStation Showcase teaser confirming Cayde-6’s return.  Now it's time for a brand new dungeon.

The update added fishing, weekly missions, and more new content to keep everyone occupied, there are depths to be explored. The new dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep, is now live. A short launch trailer takes us into the challenging dungeon, which is in the depths of Titan's methane sea. Those who have the Lightfall  dungeon key or the Lightfall + annual pass edition of Destiny 2 are ready to go.

Some might think of this dungeon as more like a raid. You’ll certainly be encountering the Lucent Hive on your way to potential glory, so gear up and prepare to disrupt some rituals, keep track of runes, and of course, to fight.

It’s these rituals and runes that will provide some backdrop to the tasks and exploration you’ll need to do. If you get through, including besting the several bosses waiting for you, you will be able to unlock a new armor set, the new Strand Exotic Trace Rifle, and even a brand new title, Ghoul.

Bungie is also continuing its offerings of real-life merch for those who complete challenges. Ghosts of the Deep completion by August 22nd will open the chance to buy a special pin and hoodie.

The Season of the Deep is now in full swing, with the return to Titan getting started, the introduction of fishing, and new seasonal and personal story missions. These new features only deepen the experience of Destiny 2, offering new avenues for reward and to explore more of the content.

Destiny 2’s big reveal of The Final Shape, the next expansion coming in the future, and Cayde-6’s return was also accompanied by the announcement of the Destiny Showcase in August. Expect details on the next expansion and the future of Destiny 2.
