Destiny 2: Forsaken to Include Warmind & Curse of Osiris Going Forward

Bungie has done an about-face with Destiny 2: Forsaken. Up to now, players needed to have both the Warmind and Curse of Osiris expansions in order to play Forsaken that created a barrier of entry to players. However, in the latest This Week at Bungie, developers have admitted this was a mistake. Starting October 16, both expansion DLC will be included in a Forsaken purchase. In addition, those who bought Forsaken earlier will receive a "Veterans of the Hunt" bundle of goods.

The bundle includes a unique emblem and shader as well as the Knife Trick and Coin Flip emotes. Four consumables are also in the package: Fireteam Medallions, Vanguard + Crucible Boons and Finest Matterweaves. The package will be delivered in December.

Launching a game reveals what we did right and where we could have done better. With the first month of Forsaken behind us, we’re taking stock of what we’ve learned. Some of those learnings will manifest in game updates that we’re deploying in the very near future, but not every improvement can be made with code changes. We also want to make it less complicated for other Guardians to begin their journey in Forsaken.

The Iron Banner is returning on October 16th and will run through October 23rd with some changes directly attributable to player feedback. Bounties will offer a new reward and objectives have been updated.
