This week in Destiny 2, the developers brought several updates to the forefront, including PvP Strike Team updates, Exotic class item drop tuning, and an Art Show that has been in the works for over 10 years.
Crucible has seen a few updates this week, as the 6v6 map weighting has been adjusted to focus more on the more popular maps and decreasing the sightings of the less popular ones. Lobby balances have also been implemented alongside an update to the Quitter system, which is slightly more lenient to those who rarely quit and get disconnected. For players who seem to abandon their teams consistently, there will be more harsh penalties and restrictions to ensure fewer quitters and more fair PvP sessions.
The Final Shape brought several new Exoic Class items to pair with perks to curate high-powered Prismatic builds, but fans seemed to think getting their hands on the items was too difficult. Due to that feedback, Bungie has decided to increase the drop chance of Exotic class items when opening Overthrow chests, but this change won’t come into play until early August. Higher-tiered Overthrow activity chests will have a higher drop chance than the lower tiers, but this change should in turn allow everyone to get their hands on a few coveted items for the time being.
The Destiny Art Show is making its way to Los Angeles, New York, and London after a decade of planning, allowing fans to celebrate all that the world of Destiny has to offer. With over 30 pieces of original art including paintings, sculptures, props, and more, there will be plenty for fans of any age to check out. Entry is also completely free, but there are limited spots available and those interested will need to keep an eye on the dev's social media accounts to secure their spots.
