Bungie has given us a look at what we can expect from the future of Destiny 2 including new stories that are in the works.
In the five-minute-long Journey Ahead video for Destiny 2, we learn all about the Echoes, both the ones we have encountered thus far and the ones we are set to encounter as the story progresses. As we dive further into the core of Nessus, we will begin to uncover ancient secrets held within lost civilizations. In these areas, we will encounter new enemies that are unlike anything we have ever seen in Destiny’s history and attempt to figure out what they are up to and why.
Echoes is just one of the three Year 10 episodes that were mentioned during the stream, but the biggest news was the Year 11 Codename Frontiers announcement. There was no information given at this time about what exactly to expect from this new journey we will be taken on, but we do know that it is set to continue some time in 2025.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape just went live on June 4th, but there were a few speed bumps before release, like the leaked storylines, weapons, and major content that would be coming with the DLC.
