In a recent livestream by Bungie, Destiny 2 announced that there’ll be a new Star Wars collaboration launching with the new Heresy expansion. The collab features a number of armor sets, including a Stormtrooper one, plus other cosmetics that draw from the ongoing sci-fi series.
Of course, there’s a Stormtrooper set for Titans, called the “Shock Enforcer.” You’re probably going to be a better shot than the beloved foot soldiers, but it’s still a good classic look to rock if you’re a long-time fan of the series.
The Hunter set of armor is explicitly inspired by the high-ranking Death Troopers, which make appearances in some of the side media such as Rogue One. They’re a lot sleeker than the standard-fit Stormtrooper armors, of course, fitting for the class and the reputation of the inspiration.
Then, if you’re a Warlock and were a fan of the sleek-looking guards in the Throne Room in The Last Jedi, then you’re in luck. The Imperial Royal Guards get their own set, complete with that deep red sheen that made them a standout in the movie.
For any Destiny 2 class, there’s also a new Ghost shell, the DS-2 Shell, that’s more of a nod to the modern sequels’ Death Star design, more specifically the one in Return of the Jedi. It even comes with a nifty little laser animation that simulates the death of your enemies’ home territories (not really, just the laser).
The Destiny 2 team also says there’s more coming, including a Sparrow, a ship, emotes, and a finisher that’ll launch when the new Heresy expac launches. That said, there’s also a lot more coming, and the team goes into more detail in their weekly blog.
Heresy drops in less than a week, on February 4.
