Dell is the latest company to get into the Virtual Reality with the introduction of the Dell Visor coming on October 17th. The headset will run $360 with hand controllers priced at $100. The unit will be shown off during IFA in Berlin in the near future.
According to VentureBeat.com, Dell's version has several interesting features including:
- controllers with light sensors that help the headband detect hand position
- the visor can be flipped up to let users see the world, flipped down goes back to VR mode
- inside-out tracking cameras
- 1440 x 1440 liquid crystal displays, 360 degree panorama
- rubber nose piece both blocks light and stops nose irritation
- headstrap adjusts with a thumbwheel
- cables are 'routed' to the back of the head
