Dead By Daylight is celebrating eight years in operation, and today's stream by developer Behaviour Interactive had plenty for fans to celebrate too - from new crossovers to its long-awaited 2v8 mode.

First things first: Dead by Daylight has pulled the veil back on its previously teased Dungeons & Dragons collaboration. Simply called Dead by Daylight: Dungeons & Dragons, the new collaboration brings The Lich Vecna to the online survival game (played by none other than Matt Mercer), while players will survive in the new map, the Forgotten Ruins.

DBD will also feature a new survivor, The Bard, while new mechanics such as die rolls and magic for the first time in the game's universe will release alongside the collaboration. This can be played today on the public test build, and is releasing fully on June 3rd.

Also coming to Dead by Daylight is the long-awaited 2v8 mode. This new mode brings two killers to bear against eight survivors, facing off against each other on larger map, allowing for more room to maneuver around each other to survive.

Interestingly, the new 2v8 mode will also come with a host of changes, most notably the replacement of the Perks system with something more akin to a class system. The Behaviour Interactive team also teased the replacement of Hooks with Cages, but players will be waiting a bit to see what this all means, as the new mode will also be fully revealed in a live stream in July.

Dead by Daylight's universe is getting a spin-off title in the form of 2 player roguelite game, What the Fog. This new game sees players take on the role of either Dwight, Claudette or Feng Min to battle their way through a roguelite world of monsters. This is actually free today for the first two million copies on the Behaviour Interactive website, though it will also be available on Steam for 4.99 after the fact.

The Casting of Frank Stone also got a new trailer today from the folks over at Supermassive Games, playing into that B-Horror Movie vibe quite well. For shooter fans, Project T also got an update today, with Behaviour announcing it will be opening its doors with a new Insider Program for players to sign up for, which can put them in the running for new playtests of the session-based PvE shooter.

Players will take the role of a Trespasser trapped inside the Entity's Realm. From there they'll need to figure out how to survive the dangers The Entity will throw at them in the region of The Backwater. Behaviour describes The Backwater as an "ever-changing" region, home to monsters such as The Thrall. You can check out the first look at the shooter in the embed below.

Finally, Castlevania is making its way to The Fog with an upcoming collaboration chapter that will be released later this year.
