DC Universe Online's Delayed Ultimate Recruitment Event Will Begin Today

DC Universe Online’s planned Ultimate Recruitment event, which was delayed early this week, “due to an unforeseen issue”, will be ready to go today after some downtime.

The event is designed for new and veteran players  to create a new character and level them up to 30 to earn rewards for your new hero or villain. If you do this and hit 30 and then complete the final mission by the end of the event, you'll get the Ultimate Recruitment Cache. You'll have to make sure you hit 30 and complete the mission and open your reward cache before the event ends.

Inside will be the White Radiant Aura, a 30 pack of Kaznia Crowns, 30 Source Marks, and Spiritual Imprint x 5. These items will be account bound so you can also use them by transferring them to other characters. 

If your roster is already full, you won't  have to decide which of your characters to delete in order to participate in the event because everyone is getting a free new character slot. You can skip the tutorial and you'll still get the reward. There are a couple of other rules to abide by, including that you cannot use any level or CR skips as you progress. If you get the cache into your inventory and use a CR skip, it will disappear, so don’t try it.

The team is also discounting a number of items on the marketplace that could help you, including bundles, Allies, and additional upgrades. Maybe  your new hero or villain wants to upgrade their look. There's a 20% discount on a number of options.

Downtime for the update began at 6:00 a.m. PT and is scheduled to last about three hours, so if you are waiting for this event, you'll get a chance to participate very soon.a
