DC Universe Online’s latest Day of Reckoning update, Aftershock, is out now, bringing a new open world boss, new challenges, performance improvements, and introduces cross-faction Leagues.
Neron is the newest open world boss and he will be up for the challenge in Kaznia City. There are new Feats and Elite Plus versions of the raids, including Flashback: Neron’s Underworld, and alert, Kaznian Necropolis Assault.
Make sure you’ve got the right group who can master the strategies needed in these extra challenging encounters.
As for putting together the right group, the update introduces cross-faction Leagues. Heroes and villains can now belong to the same League for the first time in DC Universe Online history. So maybe the best for any job is a mixed group. Now, it’s possible to collaborate longer term in a whole new way.
Other stuff to discover in Aftershock includes a new Hellblazer Aura to wrap yourself in flames and stand out. Earn it by completing the new Exorcism Kit Collection. There are also some new vendor rewards to discover.
The patch also updates performance via an upgraded Phase Management system. When entering busy areas, the experience should be smoother, thanks to changes in how the system creates phases, which should make for more populated and lively instances.
