Daybreak Game Company has announced plans across its slate of games for this weekend’s Extra Life Game Day fundraiser. There are four studio teams with their own fundraising goals, and special community incentives.
The DC Universe Online team is hoping to raise $20,000 this year, and has already crossed a few milestones on their list, unlocking the following cosmetics: Glimmer Wings, Helper’s Halo, Patron’s Plumage, Star Crown, and Angelic Drone Emblem. This year, there are new and returning cosmetic incentives and five more tiers to unlock before Dimensional Ink meets their goal, so additional rewards are yet to be revealed.
Dungeons and Dragons Online will host a livestream on November 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to midnight Eastern. There will be prizes and other giveaways as the team seeks to meet their own fundraising milestones of $10k, $20k, and $30k. Expect a number of random giveaways during the stream. Donate $10-60 to pick your own rewards from a special community loot list.
Standing Stone Games will do something similar for The Lord of the Rings Online, with a stream on November 2nd from 8-12 ET. They'll also have a community loot list that you can pick your own rewards from. There will be random drawings for additional loot, LOTRO points, and even Legacy of Morgoth.
For EverQuest and EverQuest II, Darkpaw has chosen to raise money for Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. If you help them by donating anywhere from $5 to $100 or even more you can unlock special bonuses, including a title, The Kindhearted, Overseer packs, the Lustrous Flying Carpet, Othmir Metamorph, and more. If you donate, you’ll get reward codes for both games.
For Magic: The Gathering Online, they're raising money for Seattle Children's Hospital and they will also hold a stream on November 2nd from noon to 3:00 p.m. PT on Twitch with live matches, previews of upcoming sets, and giveaways for those who are able to help out, including some exclusives.
The PlanetSide 2 community has already raised more than $10k, hitting the first goal. The goal is now $20,000 and there are new Extra Life themed cosmetics up for grabs.
