Daybreak Games, developers of PlanetSide Arena, has been hit with mass layoffs according to former employees on Twitter and Reddit.

Alex Huffman, former developer at Daybreak, wrote on Twitter,

“I got let go from Daybreak Games today. So I’m looking for a job.”

More confirmation comes way of LZR | Lester,

It's with a heavy heart that I have to say that I am no longer with Daybreak Games. While I'm saddened by the decision, I am happy to say that my employment there was extremely fun for all the years that I've had tech jobs.

DMs are open, onto the next adventure.”

Game Designer Drew Matte who worked on the PlanetSide franchise, wrote on Reddit,

“Its hard to write one of these, especially with how embedded I feel like I've gotten into the community. But as of today, I'm no longer a part of Daybreak Games. Since coming on, this team has done things way above expectations. Both attempting to make huge features, as well as doing our best to respond to and make the game better in general. While there were absolutely hiccups on the way, I feel the team did as much as they could with as much as was given to us.

As for my future, I plan on landing on my feet, continuing to move forward, and improving.”

It is worth noting that PlanetSide Arena, which we previewed a few weeks back, received a patch just yesterday.
