Dawn of Darkness has arrived in Blade & Soul, with the latest update adding a new solo dungeon, Shrouded Ajanara, a revamped Daily Challenge System, a new Heart tier, and several new events.
With Shrouded Ajanara, you’ll have to prove yourself a worthy opponent by eventually going against master Nayul, after you show off your training. By working your way through this challenge, you can earn some sweet rewards, and by doing it multiple times at different difficulties and under various circumstances, not only do you get the achievements to match, but also much better rewards. Shrouded Ajanara also replaces the daily/weekly challenge quests Den of the Ancients and Circle of Sundering.
The daily challenge system gets an overhaul that will be a little more forgiving. You’ll also see these changes reflected in the interface. If you don't complete the daily challenge on a particular day, instead you will get Rest Rewards for that day. If you accumulate Rest Rewards, you'll get the Daily Challenge Rewards and the Rest Rewards once you complete the daily challenge. Reat Rewards will also be added if you don’t log in. Two days is the max that Rest Rewards can accumulate and stack before being claimed. The system will stop adding more.
Other changes also include several events for the next month. Frozen Vipercap Cavern is a challenge in a few ways. Not only are you in an icy cave facing viper mushrooms, you have to get through the minions and defeat the boss in the fastest time you can in order to get the best rewards. Rewards include Excellent Hongmoon XP Charm and, based on your performance, currency and a chance to bid on other rewards.
Solak Fever means that there will be double rewards for the Solak region, including Shrouded Ajanara, Den of the Ancients, Spectral Shrine, and more. Finally, Shrouded Quest is an event that Simply request that you finished the Ahrouded Ajanara dungeon daily quest as many times as possible to be rewarded.
