Jagex has announced that its "experiment in emergent PvP", Darkscape will be closed for good on March 28th. The company cites Darkscape's novelty at the start, but that most players have moved back to Runescape and that continued development is not the best allocation of resources.
Those players who have logged in 20 times with 10 hours of game time, will receive a month's subscription to Runescape by way of thanks.
Between now and the close of Darkscape, the team has a lot of surprises up its sleeve:
Between now and 28th March, Mod Pi has some deviously fun stuff in store for DarkScape. Expect zombies, wandering bosses, and general worldwide chaos – keep an eye on the news for more details!
We hope to see you soon in RuneScape main or Old School. If DarkScape's high-risk PvP gameplay got your blood pumping, then Old School's Deadman Mode may well be perfect for you - especially as the new Seasonal Deadman Servers will be launching at the end of March.
