Dark and Darker Mobile’s global beta is on now. This first test outside of South Korea is live across various regions starting today and debuts new content, including a new class and new systems.
Previously, the developers acknowledged international interest and had announced that there would be a global test in August, and now it's here. The test build on iOS and Android introduces new content, including a brand new class, the Wizard. The Wizard uses elemental magic that can destroy enemies with a variety of spells, like summoning frost, lightning, or wielding fireballs.
The beta also opens up the village system, the crafting system that lets you gather resources through fishing to cook and create consumables to boost your stats. The Mercenary system has been improved and overhauled, and there have been a number of balance changes.
If you need to orient yourself a bit, the team has also released two new trailers. The first is a story trailer that takes you into the dark and dangerous medieval low fantasy world. The second is a gameplay trailer that also shows off the new Wizard class.
With a global release set for later this year, this first test will allow the devs to get feedback to improve the game for that projected launch. When they were recruiting testers in July, the number of applicants exceeded their internal targets. In preparation, Krafton already doubled its server capacity.
If you are looking for a chance to explore some dungeons, slay some monsters, and of course, get as much loot as you can carry, the beta runs through August 11th.
