Death threats are being directed towards Cyberpunk 2077 developers at CD Projekt Red in response to the recently announced delay.

In case you missed it, Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed from November 19 to December 10, a total delay of 21 days. Tragically, some people out there have taken it upon themselves to issue threats to the developers. Senior Game Designer, Andrzej Zawadzki, expressed his thoughts on Twitter,

“I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame delay. I understand you're feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it. However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.”

It's quite wild that this happens with increasing regularity in recent years. But it goes without saying, that threatening the lives of developers over the delay of a video game is unacceptable. Fortunately, people are flocking to the developers with their support.

Recently, Grinding Gear Games actually announced a delay of their own for Path of Exile. Their Expansion 3.13 has been delayed into January with the developers citing their desire to provide players ample time to enjoy both games without having to choose.
