While Cyberpunk 2077 had a very unstable launch last year, narrative and cinematics were one area where storytelling was able to shine through for the troubled game. A recent video sheds light on what into making these moments.
The video chat is from channel Story Mode where hosts Michael Tucker and Alex Calleros speak with CDPR’s Senior Cinematic Designer Pawe? Ochocki and Narrative Director Igor Sarzy?ski to chat about the challenges they faced when story-telling from a first-person perspective.
The conversation is wide-ranging covering Ochocki’s and Sarzy?ski’s jobs, why the team selected a first-person perspective, how the team intended the character to be an actor in the scene, building on Witcher 3, and much, much more.
