Cult of the Lamb developer Massive Monster announced that the release of it’s forthcoming ‘Sins of the Flesh’ update is set for January 16.
‘Sins of the Flesh’ otherwise known in the Cult of the Lamb community as the “sex update” was previously promised to players if the game’s Twitter/X account hit 300K followers. Naturally, the community helped Massive Monster reach their follower goal in short order and now here we are, just a couple of months later with update now almost here.
Despite the update’s title, the actual features of the update aren’t as racy as what you'd find in say, Baldur's Gate 3. ‘Sins of the Flesh’ will allow players to “delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings, and wrathful” doctrines, drawing followers down a sinful path. The most loyal of followers can be invited to the player’s inner circle of Disciples, offering a revamped system of follower progression.
Additional features include bigger, better buildings, broom leveling to improve chore efficiency, new Janitor Stations and Storage Structures to bolster automation, and a brand new weapon: the Blunderbuss. Cultists can also visit a tailor and show off their individual style.
As far as the ‘sex update’ aspect of ‘Sins of the Flesh,’ cultists will be able to enter Mating Tents and ‘find’ eggs. If the egg is properly cared for it will hatch and voila, Followers can raise new offspring until they’re ready to join the cult.
