Crusader Kings III continues to be a huge success for Paradox Interactive. The company announced that the game has moved 4 million copies across all platforms since its initial release back in the fall of 2020.
While there’s a ton of deep strategy and character-focused stories and many decisions to be made, the Medieval world consists of historically inspired locations from the Arctic Circle to the Sahara, the Atlantic Ocean all the way to India. Released on PC Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, the 4,000,000 copy sales mark was hit this year and the success continues.
Paradox Interactive recently released Chapter IV . The map expands once again, this time including Southeast and East Asia in the largest map expansion in franchise history.
In a press release announcing the sales milestone, game director Alexander Oltner says, “Millions of people are engaging with history and writing their own dramatic tales of success and failure, which is a major goal of ours. CK3 turns five this year, and we're happy to know that there are millions more stories waiting to be told.”
