The next direction for Crusader Kings III has been revealed, and Paradox will be taking us to Iberia when the next DLC release, Crusader Kings III: Fate of Iberia launches on May 31st.

Fate of Iberia lets you play through medieval Spain and Portugal, with all of their contributions to culture, art, music, historical events, exploration, and politics. The new DLC also brings the new Struggle feature, and for the politics, intrigue, and even diplomacy fans, this will let you draw the Iberian peninsula into several possible paths. Will it be conciliation? Conquest? Or will there be a diplomatic peace in the cards?

That will be up to you.

Following the release of the latest big expansion for the game,  Crusader Kings III: Royal Court,  which was released back in February,  this release is a Flavor Pack. There will be new circumstances, characters, legacies, and new decisions to make. The new Struggle feature is going to color a lot of that. Spain and Portugal have a lot of history that is shared, competitive, and that rivalry could color your decisions. Or if your playstyle is more looking for compromise and peaceful coexistence, that’s also a possibility.

If you’ve been looking for some new ways to expand your Crusader Kings III experiences, maybe getting deep into the Iberian peninsula is the way.

Crusader Kings III owners, regardless of whether they bite on the new DLC or not, will also get a free update before Fate of Iberia’s launch. The new update will add a new faction type, vassal contracts for clans. It will also give you another starting bookmark that will highlight Iberian characters. With the expansion out on May 31st, expect this update before then.
