Summoners War: Chronicles is a prequel to the RPG fantasy franchise from Com2uS and will be launching globally as a cross-platform MMORPG in November, with future plans to release on Xbox.
RPG franchise, Summoners War is most well known for being a mobile RPG title. This new MMORPG prequel will also be available on mobile and PC. This version was released in Korea last month and has had a successful launch so far. For the North American version, pre-registration for special rewards on launch is now open, and there’s a new trailer for the game too.
The trailer is made from gameplay footage, and shows off some of what to expect from the colorful fantasy title. Get a taste of warriors, creatures , combat, mysterious plots, exploration, dragons and other bosses, party combat, and more. It’s a fast-paced trailer set to some pop, setting a familiar tone for the presentation.
What can you expect from the game? The story takes place in the Rahil Kingdom long before the previous titles in the franchise. This time, the kingdom finds itself in a period of peace after two wars, but that peace is threatened when there's a mysterious enemy that wants to start some trouble and bring on some destruction. You play as recent graduates of the Rahil Magic Academy recruited to protect the kingdom.
You'll travel through five available maps with different challenges to take on. These have different features and range from the desert to the forest to a cold biome and a volcanic canyon. Since the title is called Summoners War, you will have the power of summoning and gain the ability to send out and use over 350 different monsters with five different attributes. You can awaken these monsters as you proceed in your journey
Combat is real-time across mobile and PC, and you’ll find single-player, co-op, and competitive gameplay modes and options across the open world map.
The game will be released on PC (via Google Play Games), Android, and iOS at launch and plans are in place to release it on Xbox later. Pre-registration is live now, and you can find out more over at Summoner’s War: Chronicles.
