World of Warcraft update 9.2 .5 is now live, and this update brings cross-faction gameplay where you can take on instances with members of the other faction. Some of the other content in the update includes new questlines, player reporting and social contract, and The Enigma Crucible PvP Arena.

Cross-faction gameplay has been a highlight of what was to come in the update since it was announced, and now it’s here. You can invite a member of the opposite faction directly or look for premade groups that are open to cross-faction play. This new option will be available in many instances, but not all of them, and things like Heroic dungeons and Skirmishes will all still be single-faction, as will guilds. Communities, however, can now be cross-faction. Cross-faction play also changes some achievement qualifications. Cryptic Hero: Shadowlands Season 3 now “requires a Mythic+ Rating in the top 0.1% of all players in your region”.

The Enigma Crucible is the new PvP Arena for those who need a new challenge. Since we’re still in the Shadowlands era, this new arena is crafted by the Progenitors, and here to test your skills against other players.

There’s new quest content for Blood Elves and Dark Iron Dwarves. Both can complete their new quests and earn themselves a new mount and weapon appearances. Characters who are level 51-60 and in Party Sync will no longer see an experience point reduction. Additionally, there is a quest in Zereth Mortis that will let you unlock weapons as rewards from the content in the region. Defeat enemies in Zereth Mortis and “Sounds of Healing” may unlock for you. The weekly quest in the region will also now reward Grateful Offerings.

The update also makes a few adjustments to classes, fixed several issues, and applies some changes that will make progress and getting rewarded a little easier. Among them are  increased XP for certain crafting and opening up all wings of Torghast, Tower of the Damned.

For more on the update, see the complete notes over at World of Warcraft.
