Pearl Abyss will be at G-STAR this month, and they’re bringing along a brand new boss to challenge in their upcoming action-RPG, Crimson Desert.
After relatively quieter development for a while, Crimson Desert finally got big reveals at Gamescom, with a playable demo (that Ed got to check out), and a later 50-minute gameplay video. We got to meet four bosses–White Horn, Staglord, Reed Devil, and Queen Stoneback Crab–and learn about their lore. Importantly, we got to watch our protagonist, Kliff, dispatch them. These were the challenges in Germany.
At G-STAR, from November 14-17th, you can head to the Pearl Abyss booth and check out another brand new boss: Hexe Marie.
The announcement got a teaser trailer, and we get to see this new boss. This reveal is a little late for Halloween, but with her crow-like cape, creepy scarecrow-looking minions, and the whole disappearing into a flock of crows that also make their way around the battlefield and attack thing, it would have been fitting for spooky season.
It’s likely that we’ll get some more info on her lore soon, but for now, if you’ve been waiting for more on Crimson Desert, it’s nice that the updates are coming faster. There's more narrative that they haven't revealed yet, and that is good that they're keeping a lot of that for a surprise, and of course the juicy combat is getting the showcase, as the action combat is one of the central selling points.
If you make your way over to Busan, South Korea next week, you can maybe get your hands on the Crimson Desert demo. if you're not in Korea, we anticipate seeing more of this boss fight very soon.
