The winding-down pocket game honors its team

Crema, the developers of monster fighter game Temtem, has launched a new deep-dive “Meet the Team” series on its blog, in which the studio plans to interview its developers to give a better insight about their work on Temtem and themselves. This first edition interviews the VFX team, a vital part of Temtem, as the game hinges plenty on the Tems’ abilities.

This interview includes the Lead VFX Artist and a pair of Junior VFX Artists, who go into a lively series of questions about their work, time at Crema, and some personal tidbits. The junior artists seem to really like getting their hands on Electric effects, for example, though all have their varying preferences. One of the more relieving parts of this interview may be that all three thankfully claim to have a great work-life balance, and that feedback is an important part of the job.

Unfortunately, this comes not long after the slow-down of Temtem’s long-term support. Last month, Crema announced it’d be removing monetization and implementing its last updates. At least the behind-the-scenes series means Crema’s developers will be recognized for their work no matter where they go, a small blessing in a famously brutal industry.
