Creatures Exhibit Features of Their Environment

The Dark & Light Facebook page has been updated with a brief post and a pair of screenshots showing off creatures that players can tame. One is the product of a volcanic location and is a fire-imbued catlike creature. The other seems to have a more rock-like appearance. Players will need to have elemental resistances in place to go after those that reside in locations inhospitable to less well-adapted humanoids.

Many of Dark and Light's creatures exhibit the features of their environment, both in appearance and ability. You'll need to prepare proper elemental defenses against them if you go exploring in any extreme climate zones.

Because they're already acclimated to their environment, taming such creatures will give you an invaluable companion when exploring these regions.

The Dark & Light team has been fairly quiet recently, though we have been reassured that work continues and that we should see Early Access kick off in 2017.
