Cozy Sim Tales of the Shire Will Get Physical Editions Alongside Digital Release

The cozy Hobbit life sim Tales of the Shire will get physical releases on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 alongside the upcoming digital release. The Lord of the Rings inspired game, lets you create a life in The Shire as a Hobbit.

You get to create and customize your own Hobbit, build a Hobbit hole with all of its comforts and coziness, and decorate it. Travel around in The Shire, visiting familiar places, meeting other Hobbits, and enjoying simple days in your peaceful slice of Middle-earth. 

After being delayed out of last year, the game will release on July 29th, 2025 on all platforms, including in these newly-announced physical editions. These come via iam8bit, which opened pre-orders  with a special bonus. Pre-order the game and you'll get the physical edition in a region free edition with a 20” by 16” map of Bywater and the iam8bit exclusive book cover O-sleeve. You'll also get a code for a download of the official game soundtrack.
