Court of Stars Mythic +25 Achieved Before Proposed Battle Res Changes Added

For the first time, the Court of Stars dungeon has been defeated at Mythic +25. The team that accomplished the feat consisted of a Demon Hunter tank, Druid healer, and a Warlock, Druid and Monk in DPS roles. The interesting thing to note is that, with the exception of the Demon Hunter, all of the other characters came with a battle res, something that will be changing with v7.3.5. Battle res will share a cooldown across all characters. One res is available at the start, the next at 18 minutes.

Once resurrection is accepted by a downed player, the cooldown timer begins. The cooldown is always 18 minutes.

Here's what WoWhead determined:

  • Charges are expended when someone accepts a resurrection. Players are able to cancel the battle resurrection without using the charge.

  • The party starts with 1 charge at the beginning of the dungeon and a new charge is granted every 18 minutes.

    • No matter how many players are in the dungeon, the cooldown is currently always 18 minutes.
    • To finish in time, players will only be allowed 2 combat resurrections in dungeons under 36 minutes or 3 combat resurrections for the 45 minute dungeons.

  • There is a maximum of 5 charges that can be stored, but that will take at least 72 minutes. However, if your dungeon goes long enough, you'll be able to use 5 combat resurrections on a single boss!

  • This is the same mechanic that is currently in World of Warcraft raids with shared cooldowns of all battle res. This fulfills Blizzard's commitment to this change announced at last month's Blizzcon.

So while an epic achievement -- and it decidedly IS -- it will remain to be seen how far groups will be able to progress in the Mythic + achievement category with the datamined changes, if implemented.
