Corepunk episode 2 was released quietly back on Friday, along with resumption of pre-orders. The team also updated their website, temporarily suspended their affiliate program, and updated on Early Access plans.
Episode 2 is here, fully updated. The Artificial Core team says that they will continue to polish episodes 1 and 2 and they know that there are probably going to be some issues that they'll have to address later. However, they cited their work and a desire for feedback on both episodes so they are releasing number two and planning to present number three sometime this week. So if you have access, you can jump into episode 2 and let them know if there are any issues in the text, quests, or voice over.
The devs are also looking for feedback on new language support options. They plan to introduce five more this week, and have a goal of 32 additional supported languages eventually. To start, the voiceovers will remain in English and localization will be text based, but eventually they'll look to improve this and add voice overs in many or maybe even all languages.
A few months after halting pre-orders with the promise that they would reopen at some point, they're open again. If you pre-order the game, you'll get unique skin themes for gear and mounts and these will remain available until Early Access begins. Since the bonuses have changed, anyone who purchased the previous pre-orders will get some equivalent gifts for their loyalty. There are more details depending on which stage you pre-ordered the game.
Early Access is coming, so they're looking for streamers to begin planning the marketing part. On a related note, they are also suspending their current affiliate program because “it currently lacks thoughtful planning and motivation for a large number of content creators”. They are redesigning the whole program, so if you are or wanted to be a Corepunk streamer, stay tuned.
