Recently, Artificial Core re-opened Corepunk pre-orders and released episode 2, while also declaring that Early Access marketing was kicking off. November 26th is the PC Early Access launch date, and the team has more details.
The MMORPG-MOBA hybrid will launch with the first three fully-voiced episodes from Season 1. Traverse the open world, which features three distinct biomes–forest, steppes, and swamp–encounter enemies and challenges to take on. The world is divided into quarters, each based around distinct cultures, with their own skills, clothing customization styles, weapons, and lore. When choosing to align with one of them, you can access those options too.
For the combat oriented, this launch will feature 15 world bosses to take on, along with battlegrounds and arenas. We'll also see MMO staples like farming, guilds, randomly generated dungeons, raids, pack deliveries, and a whole bunch of quests. With the main story content and side quests, those first three episodes will total 350 quests, so even this early access launch will be full of things to do. Corepunk features several PvP and PvE game modes to play your way.
The Early Access launch will feature six weapon specializations, Corepunk’s classes/hero types. There are eight passive talent branches with 120 different mechanics and 22 weapon specialization talents for each class. Going forward, the developers are planning to release a new specialization every month
Expect three itemization tiers for each item type to start and an intentionally deep crafting system. It includes four gathering and four crafting professions, alongside cooking, and a synthesis machine for additional options.
Early Access is launching with a lot of content, but it isn’t the final game. The team has detailed additional features on the way like the Extraction Prison Island, PvE instances, more heroes, and more on the way.
Artificial Core estimates that a full launch will be ready in late 2025.
