Upcoming MMORPG Corepunk has announced that their Alpha 3 test is going on now, allowing fans to dive in once more and leave feedback for the devs at Artificial Core.

Corepunk is an MMORPG in progress being created by the developers at Artificial Core, and though there have been a few speedbumps like closed Beta delays, the devs are still going strong with their latest alpha test. From July 1st until July 7th, the Alpha 3 test will be live, and the devs state they have listened to and implemented some of the feedback from the last test. They stated,

“We gathered a lot of useful information from the last test and have worked hard on the problematic areas. Our main focus has been on the technical improvement of the game. It seems we have managed to eliminate the main issue with disconnects, and now we expect your gaming experience to be more stable. Parties should work as intended. We have also optimized the game and hope you will feel the improvements in game smoothness during the test.”

So what are the changes that those involved with the test can expect? Efficiency has been changed quite a bit, as they removed the influence of efficiency on the chance of procs. In order to unlock new rare resources and crafting recipes, players will now need to reach a specific efficiency level. This change will add a bit of difficulty to the leveling process of different professions but creates more of a balance in terms of the efficiency value of each profession.

There is also a new gesture that allows players to lock their efficiency at its current level anytime, anywhere, but at the cost of mana for gathering and gold for crafting items. As for the economy, there is now an option to trade crafted items between players, but gold will still remain untradable for the time being. That is because though the devs want players to trade between friends and stranger alike, they don’t want bots to use this trade feature to make real-life money for selling off in-game currency, which is an issue in multiple MMORPGs.

Alongside these changes are map changes, both in PvE maps and PvP maps, as well as narrative and NPC changes. The devs state this is just the beginning of the series and more and more will be revealed through every test, which they cant wait to share with the fan base.
