Epic Games has sent word that the 7.0 update to the Fortnite alpha will be incoming soon with a number of significant changes to core game features. Players can look forward to a new static skill tree with specific regard to upgrading buildings and sub-buildings. The Home Base buildings have been completely removed.
Other major changes include:
- Inventory will be fully persistent
- Heroes have been moved to the Vault
- Heroes can be upgraded
- Schematics
- The female ninja
- Big UI changes
The dev team will be on hand on Tuesday, June 14th, at 1 pm Pacific / 4 pm Eastern in the Fortnite Twitch channel to both talk about and show these changes.
Keep in mind that the application of the 7.0 update will result in resetting account progression and the refunding of V-bucks. You can find out more about the game on the Fortnite site.
