Funcom's Joel Bylos sat down with IGN to discuss more about this week's reveal of Conan Exiles, a survival game based on the world of Hyboria. Among other things it was revealed that the game world will feature a 53 square kilometer map that is more than twice the size of Skyrim's main map.

Bylos indicated that Conan Exiles will place a heavy emphasis on player freedon. There will be no classes, no weapon locks and no locked in relegious alignment. Players will be able to craft buildings, make clothing and create weapons, all based on the Conan mythology and cultures.

Bylos and Poe emphasize again and again that the Hyborian Age is a brutal, dark era wallowing in decadence. And much as with Age of Conan and Frank Frazetta's famed Conan artwork, Conan Exiles doesn't shy from sexual themes.

"Definitely there will be nudity on some level," Bylos says, "but there's a question of where it goes and how far it goes."

Bylos further hinted that mounted combat will become a reality after release.

Conan Exiles will be entering early access in summer 2016 with the promise of more information to be revealed over the next several months.
