The Conan Exiles site has been updated with a brief, and undoubtedly welcome, post for players. From now through sometime in August, the decay timer has been increased to 14-days so that players heading off on vacation don't have to worry about their structures going to ruin or, even worse, becoming "abandoned".
The Decay System was put in place to prevent the map from becoming overfilled with buildings, particularly those structures created by players that have left a given server. Players have a set amount of time during which structures will gradually decay if not repaired. Once they have reached 0, players have a 48-hour grace period to repair them in order for them to remain.
By providing players with a 2-week decay timer, Funcom is providing players with plenty of time to enjoy some fun in the sun with loved ones.
