Star Trek Online players can now enjoy Season 13: Escalation that brings the continuation of the Tzenkethi War as well as introduces the brand new PvE Wargames Competitive Queues. This is a PC release only, with the console version coming at a later date.
The new featured episode continues the war story arc and improves match making, and class set gear. In addition the competitive PvE scenarios have arrived that give cooperative teams a chance to vie for dominance against another team of five competing in the same scenario.
- “Core Assault” – A space-based 5v5 Convergence-class scenario, where two flights of captains compete to cross the finish line in a space station based in the Adelphous System.
- “Binary Circuit” – A ground-based 5v5 Gauntlet-class scenario where captains will solve puzzles and complete various challenges in a Borg Co-operative Cube.
Players will also have a chance to earn a new reputation based on the War Games competitive scenarios in order to get hold of some unique rewards.
Lastly, the Player Potential System makes its debut that evaluates players based on gear, specialization and participation in competitive matches to ensure they are fairly matched with others.
