Company of Heroes 3  will be coming to Steam on November 17th. Preorders are also open, but access to a special North African Operation mission over the next week opens today to give everyone a taste of what to expect this fall.

When the RTS hits Steam in November, there will  be four playable factions and two single-player experiences to enjoy, the North African Operation and the Italian Dynamic Campaign. The Italian Dynamic Campaign was previously announced, but the North African Operation is just being revealed today.

In this Operation, you'll be able to try out Mission Alpha and play  as the Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) as they try to hold back and repel the British. If you already have any of the  pre-alpha builds in your Steam library, you should see Mission Alpha already there in your library. If you haven’t already gotten access, you will be able to by signing up.

This operation is available today through July 19th and you can access it by making sure you sign up for Relic’s Community feedback program, that will let you try out one of the missions from this operation.

The Italian Dynamic campaign is a branching and open-ended experience that you can have choices in but the North African operation is a “narrative-led single-player experience”, according to a release announcing details.

Those who pre-order the game will be able to get some special bonuses at launch. There will be a standard edition and both digital premium and physical premium versions, each with different perks. If you order either of the premium editions you will also  get access to the first Company of Heroes 3 expansion coming in 2023.

You can find out more about the game and the upcoming Steam launch, details on content and features, and more over at Company of Heroes.
