Massive Entertainment has revealed that the companion app for The Division is no longer being developed. According to a statement given to IGN, developers felt that the app would create imbalance in the game.
The app was originally designed to give players using tablets the ability to either buff or troll companions by summoning drones. Apparently, these abilities became a game-breaking issue.
