A new Elachi Qulash Frigate and a game design challenge for Star Trek Online were announced via Arcgames’ official site earlier today.

The new frigate, arriving later this year, impressive stats, including:

  • Tier: 6

  • Faction: Any

  • Required Rank: Must complete the Tutorial

  • Hull Modifier: 1

  • Shield Modifier: 1

  • Fore Weapons: 5

  • Aft Weapons: 3

  • Device Slots: 3

  • Bridge Officer Stations: Commander Engineering, Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intel, Lieutenant Commander Universal, Lieutenant Universal, Ensign Universal

  • Consoles 4 Tactical, 5 Engineering, 2 Science (scales with level)

  • Base Turn Rate: 15

  • Impulse Modifier: .17

  • Inertia: 70

  • +10 Weapons Power, +10 Engines Power

  • Can Load Dual Cannons

  • Console - Universal - Elachi Rift Jump

  • Raider Flanking

  • Cruiser Command Array    

    • Command - Strategic Maneuvering

The game design challenge involves a partnership with Modiphius and carries a reward including an Alpha Quadrant Sourcebook PDF from Star Trek Adventures, and a T6 Defiant on PC.
