Comic Con Panel Reveals Game's Homage to Rare Classics

The Sea of Thieves team was on hand at yesterday's San Diego Comic Con to talk about the game and how it will provide fans of some of Rare's classic titles with fun things to look out for during their time playing. Ryan Stevenson said that this would be accomplished through ship figureheads that can be equipped on players' vessels that may include Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark and one that references Banjo Kazooie.

Stevenson also paid homage to the Monkey Island games as inspirational to the behavior and demeanor of the pirates in Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves is planned for a February 2017 release.
