Cloudheim is an upcoming co-op fantasy action RPG from Noodle Cat Games. The game is set in an ancient Norse inspired world that has seen better days. You'll explore the world, team up with others, combine crafting with physics-based combat, collect loot, build and grow your base, and ultimately try and restore the world to its former glory.
The colorful style is reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda and Ankama games, like Wakfu. Explore the world and learn how to craft your weapons, gear, and even unlock new skills through crafting better gear. You can craft weapons, gear, and abilities and you can even sell what you don’t need. You'll be able to learn some pretty devastating combos and you'll use them in a destructible world. Enemies will actually take more damage if you use the physics-based combat and skills to combo up and unleash what you've learned.
You can play solo, but if you want to team up with allies, there’s four player online co-op. Your flying turtle base is called Odin Shell, and it’s no ordinary base. Odin Shell is “a massive, ancient turtle that carries a fragment of a dead god’s power”.
This is where you will start to explore the number of different islands and dungeons outside in the world to discover. One of the features to note is that if you are playing with friends, every weapon and ability that you unlock will be shared among all your players. In essence, no one gets left behind and you'll be able to continue to learn how to perform successful combos together. Team up with friends and also get help from a number of fantasy creatures in the world.
Noodle Cat is a new studio with veterans with experience on games like Fortnite, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Infinity Blade. Founder David Hunt, in a post announcing the game,“Mix in a hauntingly beautiful world, a chaotic symphony of physics combos, and base customization - that's Cloudheim. We can't wait to see the creative combat gameplay players discover and share with their friends”.
Cloudheim is currently planned for a release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S n Q3 2025.
